Doodles | Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life

Hello lovely people.

I am now back in England and I must say I am having the holiday blues. I thought I would do a little blog post on something I have been playing around with. In the last couple of months I have really gotten in to 'doodling' as I like to call it. I love finding quotes that either inspire me, or make me smile and just jotting them down and doodling around them! I have also been creating designs for cards - maybe that can come in another blog post…

I actually started these whilst I was away. I recently bought two new pens, and they are amazing. Yes, pens. I'm not talking about make up, or clothes I am talking about pens. I never thought I would be excited by pens. But there we go - any of you arty farty, creative minds out there may understand my excitement.

I love these little sayings, the first one I found at a bar on the beach. We were having lunch and I noticed this huge canvas like board that was covered in photos of the shells, the sea and in the middle was this quote. I just really loved it especially being surrounded by the beautiful sea and beach at the time.

I love the second one purely because I love the saying. It's something I keep thinking back to at the moment. I thought I would try adding some colour too because it's a saying that speaks happiness to me.

I'm thinking of putting them onto card, let me know your thoughts :)

Hello Stranger | Life Lately…

Hello lovely people.

It has been a very, very, long time. My life has been a little, up in the air lately. I'm not quite sure how else to describe it really. You know when you just feel a little all over the place? Thats been me. But I am back with a blog post, because I have many many instagram photos from the past few months that I thought I would share with you, AND I have some super exciting news…

But first here are some photos…

My Boyfriend and I had a weekend away in Brighton. I love that place.
Making the most of the sunshine whilst it was out, a trip to the Zoo, tea and cake, and a lovely weekend in Wales.
I have also had the Chop.
Last night, pretty beautiful I thought.

So like I said, life has been a little hectic. I have felt a little lost as well, not knowing what I should be doing or where I should be going. I think this is a well known feeling for most. Although we all seem to think we are the only person in the world feeling like this… It's not easy. and life is always one big lesson. Which brings me to tell you that I am taking myself on a new venture, business venture should I say. I am scared, excited, nervous and happy. I am nervous because I can't let this go wrong, I feel like I am always trying new things, and time after time they don't work or don't go to plan - it's that familiar feeling of disappointment that we all dread. But I am feeling excited and determined!

I am not going to tell you all JUST yet, but would love to keep posting and giving you all the big reveal when it's all ready to go, and I need all the support I can get.

Thank you so much if you have read this till the end. I am sorry if some made sense, I have kind of just had word diarrhoea and just typed away…

I hope you all had a great weekend and i'll post again soon!

Collar Inspiration.

Hello Lovelies

I was inspired to create this post recently because I keep seeing lots of photos on various social sites like Instagram and Pinterest of pieces of collared clothing. I have put together a little mood board of different collars and the ways they are worn.

I think they can do so much for an outfit. They can look gorgeously dressed up, or completely dressed down. I love that on a day where you don't really know what to wear, or can't really be bothered to make a load of effort - you can slip a collared blouse or shirt, throw over a jumper, even an over sized one and it can completely change the look of it. OR you don't even need to bother with the shirt now that you can buy the collared style necklace pieces which have been out for some time now. Subtle, bold, sparkly - you name it you seem be able to get it somewhere!

This has deffintely given me the urge to do a bit of collar inspired shopping....

Life Today | Job Crisis

Good morning lovely people.

Image from Pinterest.

I thought I would do a really honest post today. I have been afraid to write it on here in the fear of letting everyone know how I feel. Because once it's written down for everyone to see it definitely makes you feel more vunereble. But I want this little blog to be a place to document me and my life so here goes.

I have been feeling really down about work recently. I have been trying to work as a freelance children's photographer now for probably a good year and a half. I love taking photos and documenting special moments in peoples life, those moments are often things you wouldn't normally always see -which tend to make them all the more spontaneous and special. Being able to give someone that gift to someone is just lovely. However, needless to say it takes a long time to build a new business, and sometimes it feels like you try and try and it's never quite good enough.

My family has also started up a new little business too thats now been going for a year, so I am swapping between to two at the moment. However again, being a new business means it's taking a long time to build. I have always been passionate about what I do and want to succeed. But neither of them are bringing me enough of an income nor routine at the moment. So i'm sort of in limbo land at the moment and it's not easy and I feel like that also impacts on the rest of your life. I mean your work life is probably 90% of your life at the end of the day, so it's important to enjoy what you do.

I'm not quite sure where I was going with this post, but I guess as it's Monday and things had got to me I would write it down, for the first time and hope you don't all think i'm mad.

I would love to know what you do, and if you have ever felt like this.

Delightful Desktop Fun | Martha Stewart

Hello lovely people!

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days, I had a very busy weekend with family events!
I'm one of those annoying people that likes her room to look spotless - ALL the time. I get a little obsessed. I just can't bare walking into a messy room, with an Un-made bed, things on the floor and the side. Sfnsfnslgnslkngois - thats how it makes me feel....

So, yesterday my Mum and I went to Staples as we had to get work bits, so I dived straight into the gorrrrgeous Martha Stewart Section!! Yes, i'm one of those weirdo's that loves the little things in life like, stationary... After watching Louise from Sprinkle Of Glitter's (make sure you watch, she is fabulous!) Vlog on her 'Stationary Haul' I have wanted to go to Staples for a little look round.

I wanted to buy the whole collection but I controlled myself and went for one desktop divider and one of her lovely note pads. Oh and some pretty coloured pens :) I love the Desktop divider, it's fab - and allows me to stack my notepads, and as you can see in the photo a Magazine - this was just lying on my desk, so it now has a place! It can also hold my diary, business cards and of course, my new pens! When my business hopefully develops and I get a bigger desk, I will definitely be buying more of these as they stack on top of each other, so you can just add, add, add - how fab!

I hope you like the photos - oh and isn't the colour and texture beautiful?!

Autumn Wishlist.

Autumn is here, the weather is colder (much much colder) so we have to adjust to dressing for the cold weather again. I LOVE dressing for the colder seasons. Anyway, here are a few things on my Wish list for autumn.

1) Mini Ipad (white) - I would really like one of these, For several reasons! 1 - it would be useful for my photography work. 2 - they are cool. 3 - I just think they are really useful.

2) Knitted Angora Cable Cardi Topshop - I am such a lover of knit wear. They look great with everything - jeans, shorts, skirts and wooly tights. Plus they are warm!

3)  Zara City Bag (black) - I came across this bag a while ago, but they didn't have it in stock when I wanted in, so for my birthday I got the older version of it, that you will of seen if you read my last post here. I know it's a classic bag amongst bloggers so have ordered it, and very excited to try it out!

4)  Parka With Fur Hoo Pull And Bear - So it's that time of year when you need a good warm winter coat. I have always loved Pull And Bear coats so checked out what they had in and I really liked this.  I like the colour and fur detailing. It also looks pretty snug!

5)  MAC Shy Girl Lipstick - I'm always searching for a neutral, light peachy shaded lipstick, and this one looks lovely.

6) Full Floral And Bird Print Skirt Pull And Bear - I love wearing skirts and little floaty dresses with thick wooly tights and jumpers. I found this little skater style skirt and thought it would go great.

7) Zara Mini Office City Bag Burgendy - Ok, So I know that I already have the original version on here but I love this colour, I think it's gorgeous. For days when you don't need to lug around your bigger everyday bag, this size is perfect to just throw in your essentials.

8) Amelle Ankle Strap Boots Topshop - I love little ankle boots and have wanted some with a small heel. I always feel 'nicer' in heels, but being a country bumpkin, I don't feel I can walk around in a full on heel everyday. So the size of this one is perfect.

Bag Mad | Zara Favourite

Happy Rainy Sunday! <3

I must admit, I am a sucker for wrapping up warm in winter woolies, going for a long walk then coming home and snuggling up on the sofa! Theres just something I love about it, it makes me feel warm and cosy. Plus, sometimes we just have to come to terms with the fact that summer has come and gone again...

Anyway, i'm blabbering. My post today is about my current bag. I have to admit, if I had to choose between being a shoe girl or a bag girl, I would have to say bag. I have always loved handbags, and do have a growing collection in and around my cupboard. They are one of those things that when I buy, I get stupidly excited about. There are so many different bags, of different shapes and sizes, for different occasions, smart, casual, every day, holiday, and the good old all rounder bags.

Back in July it was my 21st birthday, and I was after a new bag. Zara is probably my favourite shop. I think everything in there is gorgeous and fun. But everything still seems to have that sense of elegance - which I love! So needless to say this was the first place I looked. I found the Zara Office City Bag (but in brown) and I instantly loved it, it looks smart and classic. I am a real sucker for a nice tan/brown hand bag. So was gutted when the next day I went to find it to show my Mum, and it had gone.

So anyway, my birthday came and a big box shaped present was there. I opened it to find a big Zara box. Inside it was what I think was the previous version of the City Bag, and I fell in love again! I even preferred it. The leather was so soft, and I loved all the details on it.

There is just something about Zara bags that always look so timeless. The layout inside the bag is pretty similar to the current one. There are 3 big compartments inside, the middle one being a zipped one. There are also small side pockets on the inside of each compartment. It's very spacious, and although I don't have an Ipad and I am sure you can fit them in. I think it goes with pretty much anything I wear as well.

I am also very excited to of ordered the current City Bag in black. I'm sure I will give you a post update when I get it.

Thank you for reading and enjoy your Sunday evening.

Recent Buys.

As it is pouring with rain, I thought I would start on a little post. These are probably my three favourite things at the moment!

Ok,  as you will know if you read my first blog post Snippets Of My Summer I went to Portugal. Now, I don't know about you, but every time I go away, especially to foreign countries, I love finding new bits of jewellery. These usually tend to be rings and bracelets. However this year I found these two necklaces which I just love.

The first one (that intertwines) was from a Harbour we went to. It's a gorgeous place and has lots of shops, bars and restaurants around it. I came across a little shop set back from the rest that was just full of necklaces and bracelets, it was gorgeous, there were so many different colours crammed into this one tiny shop. But this one caught my eye the most. I don't usually go for this sort of thing, but I am so glad I tried it on. This was 10 Euros, which could sound like a lot, but it was worth every cent! I wore it a lot in the evenings, and found it really dressed my outfits up. However it can also be worn casually, like in the photo above.

The second necklace which I also love was from a flea market. It was huge, with so many stalls. Most of the jewellery stalls always seemed to have the same sort of style on them. But again, this one caught my eye, and can you believe it was only 3 Euros!? I was a happy girl! Again, it can be worn smart or casually.

Lastly, this lovely little candle. I'm really loving candles at the moment, especially now the weather is changing. They can really warm a room up. I love the detail around the actual holder, it really lets the light shine through it as well. My favourite bit of it is the little pearls, I think they are so cute and pretty and they fit right in with my bed room. This was only £2.99 from a local Garden Centre. I was shocked at the price, so I picked it up straight away :)

Have a gorgeous weekend :)
